Snow White Decided to go Blonde!!

Minor details, but our Snow White is a blonde! We bought this outfit yesterday at Sam's. I wanted to get Em a princess outfit so she can wear it one day on our trip to Disney World. I saw that they had some at Sam's for a great price. When I went yesterday there was only a hand full of them left. So she picked out Snow White, there were no Cinderella's left. She had fun putting it all on this afternoon. It even came with cute high heel shoes. Guess who is going to be Snow White for Halloween???

El wanted to have her picture taken on the hearth too!! She was feeling left out.

After Em took off her Snow White outfit she came up to me and told me "Mom, I'm a cowboy now!" Being a princess is hard work!

El's Party

El had a little party on Saturday with family. We had our Dr appt on Friday and Em and El got shots. El has been running a fever ever since and has been very cranky!! My parents stayed home with her and Em today, while B-Daddy and I went to church. El has cried most of the afternoon. Pray that she feels better soon! I am not use to cranky, crying babies. It is a helpless feeling when you don't know how to calm your child.

Back to the Dr's visit on Friday, Dr H's birthday was Friday and the nurse asked Em if she could sing to him when he came in. I reminded her that she was going to sing something for DrH and she started singing Happy Birthday. When she got to the name part she put El's name in it. I had to explain that we sang to El yesterday. He just laughed, I think he was caught off guard. He was even a little red.

Em did great, she had to have 1 shot also and she didn't even cry. She said "that hurt mom!" It was over before she could think to much about it.

Here are some pics from Saturday.

Happy Birthday to El!!!!

She can't believe she is 1 either!!!!

What are you talking about, has it really been a year? You must have made a mistake.

El was born at 2:54pm on Aug 23, 2006. She weighed 7lbs and 9oz and was 21" long.

They change so much in that first year. We are truly blessed with 2 great girls! Em has grown so much in this year also. She looks like a toddler and now she is looking more like a little girl.

I was wrong.

It is not "ring around the roses, but ring around the rosy." Em was right she knows better than me!

I can't believe that no one corrected me! I have an excuse, I was raised with all boys. I was out numbered and had to play what they wanted and "ring around the rosy" wasn't a top choice!

Ring Around the Rosie!

I know what you are thinking, "it is ring around the roses." But my Em sings ring around the rosies, pocket full of posies, so that is what we are going with. This is how she had her doll house people and horses placed on the coffee table yesterday. I had to laugh at her. She said they were playing ring around the rosies.

This is Em posing with my latest creation. My new purse. I made this bag out of the scraps I had left from cutting out a diaper bag. I think it came out so cute.

Em's Version of Horse Shoes.

I looked over at the coffee table this evening and saw this. Em just loves to put shoes and clothes on her toys. Sometimes it can be quite comical.

This afternoon after El woke up from her nap, we headed to the pool. It was so hot today, my temp in the car said 101 this afternoon. The pool felt so nice and the girls had so much fun. I couldn't believe how well Em did! Her lessons really payed off. She was jumping off the side and swimming to me in the pool. (She had floats on her arms). She was doing this with B-daddy, who would catch her before she went too far under. When he got tired she started jumping to me. I wouldn't catch her, but let her go under and come up and swim to me. She did this over and over again and not once did she cough because she swallowed water. She was doing so good. I think by next year she will be swimming without any help. I am really impressed at how well her lessons helped her this year. She is doing awesome.

My Mother-in-law, my niece and nephew came with us also. They had a good time in the pool too. My MIL gave me a "boat" for El that blows up and has a steering wheel with an over head shade. It looks like one of those little tykes car toys that goes outside. El just loved it!! She loves the water also.

Needless to say we wore the girls out, they both went to bed early without a peep!

El is Partial to her Daddy!

B-Daddy here. Yes, my youungest is partial to her daddy, just not in the way I would like. I was changing her diaper and noticed that she was poopy. I said, "El, you are supposed to let me know when you are poopy so we can have Mommy change those diapers. We are on the same team here, right?" Without hesitation, she began to shake her head no! I said, "What? You think Daddy should change all the poopy diapers?" Without hesitation and right on cue she began to smile and clap! I was somewhat dumbfounded and laughing inside as well. Did my 11 month old really understand what I was saying, or is God just laughing at (or with) me!

I know it was just coincidence, but I'm sure the wife would disagree!

Happy Birthday B-Daddy!!!

10 Reason Why We LOVE B-Daddy:

1. He loves our girls and sees them as a true blessing.
2. He helps around the house and with the girls. He loves to play and read to the girls.
3. He is low maintance! All he wanted for his B-Day is his annual Great American Cookie Cake.
4. He loves the Lord and lives a righteous life.
5. He met every criteria I had on my list I made for the man I wanted to marry. (God is so Good)
6. He loves me just the way I am even without make up!
7. He is a great thinker and is always working on a project to make us money. ( His mind is always going.)
8. He works hard so I can stay home with my girls!
9. He wants to retire by the time he is 40, (be financially at the point we need to be) and he is working hard towards that goal.
10. He is very handy around the house, he can fix anything!

Happy Birthday B-Daddy, WE LOVE YOU!!!

Today has been a busy day so far. We submitted B-Daddy's picture to the news station for applause and he was drawn to win the Chick-fil-a party tray!! YEA!! He has always said that he wished we could win that one day! We also got on line at 7am and bought a $50 gift card for Christopher's for $25 through our TV station's website. They are doing 1/2 price gift cards on Thursday's. This week was Christopher's. It took all but 1 minute to sell out of cards, they had 50 to sell, and we were able to get one!!

We went to the mall to get his cookie cake, and stopped in Bealls to shop because they were having their one day sale. We got 2 birthday gifts, 4 Christmas presents and some stuff for us. We ended up with 13 items and paid $80. I came home and totalled our stuff and the total was $370. We saved $290! I was so pumped!! We are trying to get all our shopping done way early for Christmas, and we are well on our way.

We then went to the Hospital to drop off the stuff I made for a lady. All the nurses were ohhing and ahhing over my work. I was so happy they liked it so much. They turned out so cute. They all wanted business cards. The lady wants me to make a diaper bag for her daughter also. She said that she will be getting back with me on that.
Then we headed out to the Lake to have a picnic lunch. We ate our lunch under the gazebo and had our cookie cake for dessert. It wasn't so bad under the gazebo, there was a little breeze blowing and only 1 boat on the lake. B-Daddy wanted to see how the lake was layed out and what there was to do there.

We are on our way to drop off the girls at my MIL and to see a movie this afternoon.

My cuties, and recent projects!

I haven't blogged in almost a week. I posted some pics of the girls dressed for Sunday Church. These are actually their Christmas dresses my mom made for them. I just love the red flowers. That little bow in El's hair didn't last too long. It was lost before we got to church. I found it later in her car seat.

My baby is going to be 1 year old in 15 days! Boy how a year flies by. She thought she was so big sitting in a chair by herself!

This is one of my latest projects that I just finished. I think this bag turned out so cute!! I have also worked on a set of baby items for a lady who works on the maternity ward. She saw my work from one of our friends who had a baby last week. She wanted to know where they got their cute stuff. Diana told her the name of my website and my name. So the lady looked me up on the web and my name in the book and called and wanted me to make her daughter a set. She came over the other day to pick out her print. This is how it turned out.

Pictures of the week.

Em and El playing with El's swim boat.
Em my little "cowgirl!"
This is the way Em fell asleep one day for her nap. If you look hard you can tell that she has her Piglet Halloween costume on. I couldn't believe that she actually fell asleep this way.
Don't you just love this face? Em is really doing great in swimming lessons.

Here is Em floating on her back.

This is Em, her friend Elana and their great teacher Miss Laura. She has done a great job with the girls. They are really progressing. Today it was just the 2 of them so they got some special attention. There you have it, an over view of my week so far. We have been busy with swimming lessons this week and last. Tomorrow is our last day. Em got her shirt and awards today. She got a ribbon for "MostImproved Bubbles". Em is not a fan of putting her face in the water. Today she was telling Miss Laura that Miss Laura needed to go under first. Then when Elana came back from the bathroom she wanted her to go first. Isn't it funny how they like to take turns when it is something they don't want or like to do? She eventually went under with Miss Laura's help. And in the end she was still happy and smiling.
